Title of Project : The Belfast Peace Walls: Problems, Politics, and Policies of the Troubles architecture

The thesis is a qualitative study of the forty-two peace walls in Belfast through a public policy lens. Through interviews with elected and government representatives, community and voluntary organisations, academics, along with Loyalist and Republican representatives the research examines the various interpretations that exist on the peace walls. Furthermore, the study captures the potential policy responses towards the peace walls, and considers the key dynamics that may influence the implementation of a new public policy for the peace walls.
