Research

My main research focus is on the contemporary history of Northern Ireland. I recently completed an ESRC project on Ulster Unionism and the Orange Order and my current research project is on the experience of Protestants in border areas of Northern Ireland during the Troubles. A related research interest is the 'war' between the IRA and the security forces in border areas.
