| Background |
Alison
Henry holds a frist degree in linguistics from the University
of York and a doctorate from the University of Ulster. She is
a senior lecturer in linguistics and coordinator of Academic Affairs
for the Communication group. Her main research interests are in
syntactic theory (within the Minimalist framework), where she
has particularly worked on the syntax of Belfast English, and
in the acuqisition of syntax, where she has recently directed
several major
